end of first week back

Life has just seemed hectic since I got back but I am enjoying it.

I now have four violas stacked up, after picking up the last two yesterday so four are going to learn to play a tune on them this afternoon to put into tomorrows programme. The music shop in Durgapur is a fascinating little place and it builds some of its own instruments, it good to watch them while the discussions are going on.

Only one cello but will incorporate the violas and one cello into the Service of Thanksgiving next Saturday.

I have been preparing a sermon this week as I am preaching at the confirmation service tomorrow in Bankura, as well as arranging nine pieces of music and rehearsing them and helping with mid year assessments revision for the St Michaels School children.

Here is a picture of the evening group, as I realised back in England I did not have any photos or videos of this group.

They are playing confidently and are moving on to play hymns in three parts with just eight of them. They also play four part rounds confidently.

There is a little lizard in that room and most of the time we don't see it but as soon as any of the violin classes start he's out on the wall looking as if he is listening. when we have the guitars out too!!
