Just to catch up, on Sunday I went to the United Church about 25 minutes drive from here. It was originally the first Methodist church in the area but now part of the Church of North India (CNI) but still keeps part of its Methodist roots by using local preachers. I received a very warm welcome there, only a small congregation last week but the service was taken by Local preachers and the pastor sitting in who introduce me. Next week will be very different as it is there Harvest Festival - will let you know more next week.
The morning class, which is older children are doing well after two lessons and very keen to learn and play. The younger ones had their first lesson last night and enjoyed it but will be learning at a slower pace.
Each morning the staff meet in the church for worship at 9.20 and this morning after worship I went with the project manager to the slums down the road where many of the children come from. I met some of their parents, one or two children that come to day school but on the afternoon session and a little girl that will start later this year. I have some photos which I will post later.
The sun is shining here, it's in the low 60's which I think is nice and comfortable but they think it is cold!! After all it is winter.
