Xmas Prayer Newsletter - 21/12/2012

Dear Friends and family

Times has flown past since I last wrote to you and I arrive in Durgapur two weeks today (3 rd January –taking off on 2nd ) as I am writing this. I am excited at the challenges and adventures the New Year will bring and still a little bit daunted and apprehensive as well. I have my visa now.

At present I am busy packing boxes and storing them in various places and I am very grateful to family and friends for doing this. Many other items are going in various directions to charities or have been sold in aid of my trip so that whenever I have to set up my own home again I shall start afresh.

I have raised enough money to start with 13 or 14 violins and will get them up and running and playing in parts as a violin ensemble. If I do return then I shall raise more money and start violas and cellos then and add together to make a string orchestra. Thank you all for the donations and money raised towards my living costs which have steadily come in and I now have about two thirds of those. For those wishing to support me money can still be sent to Rev Nick Oborski (29 West Hill Ave, Epsom KT19 8LE) or given to Rev Dave Faulkner (if by cheque payable to Mrs R Pugh).
You can follow what I am up while I am there on my blog http://ruthpughindia.blogspot.co.uk and email me on ruthpughindia@gmail.com

Prayer needs at this time:

1) For my final preparations
2) Safe travelling over Christmas as I see family and friends and health (not picking anything up)
3) Safe travelling to India and good health
4) For those in Durgapur eagerly awaiting my arrival
5) For the youngsters waiting to learn and for somebody to keep them playing when I return in April.

Thank you all for your continued love, support and prayer and I wish you all a happy Christmas and New Year.

With love and God bless

Ruth
